DIET

We ask that you supply all of your pet's regular dried food, as we have no desire to upset their tummies by giving something that they are not used to.

We will supply fresh hay and a selection of fresh food daily - please let us know if your pets have any special favourites at the time of booking so that we can have it in before they arrive.

Should the weather be dreadful all day, and pets can't get outside, then we will always provide piggies and bunnies with fresh grass - as you can see ably demonstrated by Honey & Holly at the bottom of the page! (and even when that means I get soaked cutting it!!) During the winter when the grass isn't nice and long, they will get Readi-Grass as well as hay.

HEALTHCARE

All animals are checked throughout the day with the first visits at 7am and the last at 11pm. They each receive a health check on a daily basis, and at the first sign of anything wrong you will be contacted. We have a local vet literally at the end of the road for emergencies, but we do ask that you leave your own vet's details with us.

 ANY VET'S FEES INCURRED ARE THE OWNERS RESPONSIBILITY.

PRE-BOARDING REQUIREMENTS 

PLEASE NOTE ..... ALL RABBITS MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED AT LEAST SIX WEEKS BEFORE ARRIVAL, AND PROOF OF VACCINATION PRESENTED UPON ARRIVAL. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN US NOT ACCEPTING YOUR PETS. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR OWN RABBITS AND ANY OTHER GUESTS WE MAY HAVE.

WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT ANY PETS SHOWING SIGNS OF HAVING A MITE PROBLEM, SO PLEASE ENSURE THAT THEY HAVE BEEN TREATED WITH A SUITABLE SPOT-ON TYPE MITE TREATMENT BEFORE THEY ARRIVE. YOU CAN GET THIS EITHER FROM YOUR VET, OR PET STORES SUCH AS PETS AT HOME.

 GROOMING & CLAW CLIPPING

Guinea pigs and rabbits can be groomed, and their claws clipped during their stay which is free of charge. Please request this at time of booking. We are happy to give guinea pigs a bath - which they love - providing the weather is warm enough  for them. They are never put back into their hutch if they are still damp.
